We collect account, billing, product usage, support, and trading-related information needed to run Roostar. Billing is handled through Lemon Squeezy. Authentication and cloud data are handled through Supabase. Desktop trading settings and journals may remain local unless you enable cloud features under an eligible plan.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Roostar marketing site, account site, billing flows, desktop application, optional cloud sync features, email support, and related product infrastructure operated by Sun Ryse Software LLC under the Sun Ryse Tech brand.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, password hash, and sign-in metadata.
- Billing information: subscription status, plan, trial state, invoices, and customer IDs from Lemon Squeezy. We do not store full payment card numbers.
- Desktop configuration: broker selection, Discord URLs, trading preferences, local journal data, and optional cloud-synced runtime summaries.
- Trading and operational data: order events, position events, journal records, logs, support diagnostics, and runtime health data.
- Support and communications: emails, support requests, bug reports, and screenshots or files you send us.
- Website and device data: IP address, browser or device information, page requests, security events, and limited cookies or local storage entries.
3. How we use information
- Provide and secure your Roostar account.
- Process subscriptions, trials, renewals, cancellations, and billing support.
- Deliver the desktop application, entitlement access, and optional Pro cloud features.
- Support broker connectivity, Discord configuration, journaling, and runtime health checks.
- Respond to support requests, diagnose bugs, and improve product reliability.
- Prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
4. Service providers and disclosures
We share information with service providers only to the extent reasonably necessary to operate Roostar.
- Supabase: account authentication, account data, and cloud product data.
- Lemon Squeezy: subscription checkout, payment processing, tax handling, and billing records.
- Cloudflare: website delivery, DNS, security, Pages hosting, and webhook infrastructure.
- Brokers and alert platforms: when you configure them in the app, Roostar interacts with your selected broker APIs and the Discord channels you provide.
Roostar is independent software. We do not own, control, or endorse any Discord server, Discord channel, signal provider, broker, X/Twitter account, or other third-party platform that you connect to the product.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights or users, in connection with a merger or asset sale, or with your direction or consent.
5. Local desktop data and cloud sync
Roostar is a desktop-first product. Trading settings, journals, and operational logs may be stored locally on your device. If you enable or subscribe to cloud-enabled features, selected summaries, journal data, entitlement state, and runtime status may also be transmitted to and stored in our cloud systems.
6. Retention
We retain account, billing, and support information as long as reasonably necessary to provide the product, comply with financial and legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Local desktop data remains under your control unless cloud features copy or sync it.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No system is perfectly secure. You are responsible for protecting your email account, device, passwords, broker credentials, and any local files exported from the app.
8. Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of certain personal information. You may also have rights to appeal or complain to a regulator. To exercise a request, contact support@sunrysetech.com.
9. International transfers
Roostar is operated from the United States and uses service providers that may process information in other jurisdictions. By using the product, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where our providers operate.
10. Children
Roostar is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the effective date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the website, app, or email.
