Roostar Privacy Policy
This page explains what information Roostar collects, how it is used, how it may be shared, how long it may be retained, and how to contact us about privacy requests.
1. Who we are
Roostar is a desktop trading automation product operated by Sun Ryse Software LLC. Roostar provides websites, account access, software downloads, desktop trading automation features, billing, support, and optional cloud sync services.
2. Information we collect
- Account data: email address, authentication identifiers, entitlement status, and account profile details.
- Billing data: subscription status, invoices, refunds, promotion codes, tax details, and payment-provider customer identifiers.
- Application data: app version, device identifiers, operating system details, health events, logs, and update status.
- Trading product data: strategy settings, source connection status, order history, position records, P&L data, and journal archives when cloud sync is enabled.
- Support data: feedback, support emails, bug reports, screenshots, and troubleshooting details you send us.
3. Google account data
If you choose Google sign-in, Roostar receives Google user data needed to authenticate you and secure your account. This typically includes your email address, basic profile details, and authentication tokens or identity claims needed to sign you in.
Roostar uses Google user data only to provide or improve user-facing Roostar functionality such as authentication, account recovery, entitlement enforcement, session security, and support directly related to your use of the service.
Roostar does not sell Google user data, does not use Google user data for targeted advertising, and does not use Google user data to train generalized artificial intelligence models.
4. How we use information
- Provide and operate the Roostar websites, account access, desktop application, downloads, and cloud features.
- Authenticate users, maintain sessions, and enforce trials, subscriptions, legal acceptance, and account security.
- Process billing, taxes, invoices, refunds, fraud checks, and accounting records.
- Store and synchronize settings, journals, and activity history when the relevant cloud features are enabled.
- Investigate failures, improve reliability, respond to support requests, and maintain product security.
- Communicate about support, service changes, legal updates, abuse prevention, and operational notices.
5. Trading, source, and broker data
Roostar can connect to alert sources, brokers, and related trading workflows based on settings that you configure. We process the resulting connection metadata, journal events, order records, and strategy settings only to provide the product functionality that you choose to use.
Roostar is independent software. It is not owned by, operated by, or officially affiliated with any broker, Discord server owner, signal provider, or social platform that you choose to connect.
Some trading data can remain local to your device. If you enable cloud-backed features or use a plan that includes cloud sync, relevant journals, ledger data, and account settings may also be stored in our cloud systems.
6. Sharing and disclosure
Roostar may share information with service providers only where required to provide or improve the service. This includes our billing provider, cloud infrastructure vendors, and connected workflow providers that you explicitly configure.
- Billing provider and payment services: for subscriptions, taxes, invoices, and refunds.
- Infrastructure providers: for authentication, hosting, database, storage, logging, delivery services, and Cloudflare edge security.
- Connected brokers or workflow providers: only when required to perform actions you configure in the product.
- Professional advisers or legal authorities: when required by law or needed to protect users, the company, or the public.
Roostar does not sell personal information or Google user data.
7. Security
Roostar uses access controls, authenticated infrastructure, encrypted transport, cloud security controls, and operational monitoring intended to protect personal information and Google user data. No system can guarantee absolute security, but we use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the product.
8. Data retention and deletion
Roostar keeps account, billing, support, and operational records for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce agreements. Local journals may remain on your device until you remove them. Cloud-synced journals and backups may remain for a period consistent with service operations, troubleshooting, and compliance requirements.
You may request account deletion or privacy assistance by emailing support@sunrysetech.com. Some records may be retained where required for tax, accounting, chargeback defense, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or disaster recovery.
9. International use
Roostar may be accessed from multiple countries. Our providers may process data in the United States or other countries where they operate. By using Roostar, you acknowledge that your information may be processed in jurisdictions with different data protection laws than your own.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the service, legal requirements, or data handling practices change. If we materially change how Roostar uses personal information or Google user data, we will update this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
